Overview:
Joyce J. Potts, SRA, has 29 years of real estate experience with 25 years of full-time residential appraisal experience in the Central Florida Area. A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Legal Studies, she specializes in ERC/Relocation and expert witness testimony.
Errors and Omissions Insurance is carried by the corporation, as well individual staff appraisers. Policy information is available to qualified individuals upon request. Client references, appraiser qualifications and sample packages are also available upon request.
Southern Appraisal's Appraisal Service, Inc, strives to meet or exceed the high appraisal standards set forth by both the Appraisal Institute and Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (USPAP). An emphasis on higher and continuing education in the appraisal field together with strict adherence to ethical guidelines imposed by both the Appraisal Institute and the State of Florida has served to strengthen our reputation within the lender/real estate community.
Our firm also endeavors to maintain the highest level of technology in the preparation and communication of appraisal reports. This is accomplished with state of the art computer hardware and software, including digital photo imaging, EDI, color printers, etc. Data sources include membership to all local Multiple Listing Services, computer accessed tax rolls, published public records sales data, plat/tax maps, flood and census tract maps.
In addition to our strong client base, the firm has been a consistent supporter of other professional groups and community organizations including the Greater Orlando Association of Realtors, local Chambers of Commerce, State/Regional/Local Police Benevolent Associations, Youth Sports, Habitat for Humanity, Golden Rule, Hands, Special Olympics and World Cup Soccer (Orlando Venue). We encourage making community service a priorty, not just in the financial/real estate sectors, but the community as a whole.
